About AIIHPH Careers

All India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health (AIIHPH) is a pioneering Indian Institute for research and training in public health and allied sciences in Kolkata. It was formed on 30th December 1932. It established with assistance from the Rockefeller Foundation. U.K Chattopadhyay was the Director of the AIIHPH Department.

AIIHPH works under the Director-General of Health Sciences, New Delhi, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. It is ow affiliated with West Bengal University of Health Sciences. It also has a rural training center in Singur and an urban training center in Chetla.

AIIH&PH was a constituent college of the University of Calcutta. Since its inception, the college is in collaboration with the faculty of the Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine. In 1953, the institute was accredited by WHO and UNICEF as an International Training Centre.
