Bihar State Minorities Finances Corporation (BSMFC) was established as a Govt company on 23rd March 1984 under the Companies Act. 1956. It was facing many hurdles and problems in the recovery and the impact thereof was getting a release of funds from National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation, New Delhi.
The Corporation has been set up with the objective for upliftment of the economic and social status of the minority communities. The Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Parisis have been notified as minorities by the Central Government under the National Minorities Commission Act, 1992.
