Defence Institute of Psychological Research (DIPR) is an Indian defence laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO). It was established in the year 1943. It was located in New Delhi. Its function ot research in the area of psychiology for armed forces personnel. Dr. K. Ramachandran.

DIPR is organized under the DRDO's Directorate of Life Scieces (DLS). In 1962, Psychological Research Wing was re-designated as the Directorate of Psychological Research (DPR) to tken on new areas of researrch related to morale, group effectiveness, leadership behaviour, PTSD and other problems related to Armed Forces.
