About DPCL:
Dhamra Port Company Limited was developed on April 1998 in Bhadrak district, Odisha on the shore of the Bay of Bengal. DPCL was formed as a result of a 50:50 joint venture between Larsen & Tuubro and TATA Steel to run the port. The port as initial capacity of 25 million tones annually, eventually growing to 80 million tonnes annually. Later the port was taken over by Adani Port in junw 2014, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) become largest commerical ports.
