About Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission:- Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Existed on the Formation of Andhra Pradesh State in 1956. Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission was Organized by One chairman and 3 Members. The Andhra Pradesh Government increased another 2 Members to Reduce the workload. After 1981 the Government has decided to increase the members from 5 to 9 hence now APPSC has One Chairman and 9 Members. Earlier of 1956 the APPSC known as Andhra Service Commission which is based on Madras Public Service Commission. Later 1956 Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission formed by Merging Andhra and Hyderabad Public Service Commission. The Present Strength of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission is One Chairman with 9 Members. The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Established Under Article 315 of the Constitution of India.

P Uday Bharat is the present chairman of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. He was appointed on 26th November 2015 as a chairman. There had been no permanent Chairman since 2014 for APPSC. The Sivanarayana who is one of the Member of APPSC he takes charge as In charge after the previous chairman. But Sivanarayana was retired on 15th June 2015. The AP Govt has Proposed Prof. Uday Bhaskar Name in the month of August 2018. Finally, they announced the Name officially in the month of November 2015. The APPSC Performs transparency in the Selections of the Candidates. The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Conduct the Examination for the Candidate both Offline and Online Written Examination. That is OMR based is the Offline Mode, CBRT is the Online Mode.
