Dental is a term used to describe the teeth and other structures in the mouth and jaw. The term dental care refers to practices that prevent or repair dental diseases, such as tooth decay, gum disease, and tooth loss. They can also provide preventive dental care, extract teeth, treat gum disease, and offer advice on how to maintain oral hygiene.

The dental profession is one of the most important professions in society. The word "dental" originates from Latin and means pertaining to teeth.

Dentists provide oral health care, including preventative care such as regular check-ups for children or adults to monitor progress or identify problems early on. They can also provide emergency dental care for accidents or sudden toothache. In addition to these services, dentists can provide cosmetic dentistry for teeth whitening or replacing missing teeth with artificial ones.

Dental jobs can be categorized into two major categories: clinical and administrative.

The dental industry is a booming field and is projected to grow at a rapid pace in the coming years. It is estimated that by 2025, there will be at least 1.3 million job openings in the dental field.
