Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) is a nodal agency of the Government of India under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for promoting the country's external trade. It was established on 1st April 1977. Its headquarters are located at Pragathi Maidan, New Delhi.
In January 2016, ITPO appointed NBCC as Project Management Consultant (PMC) for Integrated Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) project as a part of the Redevelopment of Pragati Maidan. ITPO has two subsidiaries namely Tamil Nadu Trade Promotion Organization (TNTPO) and Karnataka Trade Promotion Organization (KTPO).
ITPO has an extensive infrastructure as well as marketing and information facilities that are avaialed by both exporters and importers. ITPO has overseas offices in New York City, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Moscow and Sao Paulo for pursuing opportunities for enhancement of India's trade and investment.
