Indian medicine is the traditional medicine which has roots in ancient Indian philosophy, mythology, and Ayurveda. The medical system of India is a little different than the conventional system. It uses a more holistic approach and considers the mind and body as one unit. The Indian doctors believe that physical illness can be cured without medicines by using meditation and yoga.

In India, there is a huge shortage of doctors. In order to meet this need for more medical professionals, the government has been encouraging medical graduates to pursue post-graduation studies and specialization. This would also be an encouragement for those who are currently doing their post-graduation or specialization and completing it on time.
