About RIMS: - Rajendra Institute of Medical Science was established on 15-Aug-2002 by Upgrading RMCH, which is a medical institute in Ranchi. This institute provides free Medical Services with Medicines. This college is established under an act of Jharkhand Assembly and this is one of the premier medical colleges in the state and India too. It has about of 33 departments which have Emergency, Blood bank, pathology, forensic medicine, orthopedic, neurosurgery, OBST &Gynae, ENT Eye, Anesthesiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Skin STD & leprosy, PMR, Urology, Cardiology, Radiology, and many others. RIMS have all type of facilities like CT scan, Emergency Ward for 24 hours, AIDS clinic, X-Ray, USG, Telemedicine Department and Deep X-Ray.
It has planned a Dental Institute in 2017 which has an annual intake of 50 students and also it has its own blood bank, Nursing school, Dental colleges, and Nursing colleges. The medical courses it offer MBBS, BDS postgraduate-MD, MS, MCH, Diploma, Radiology and also pathological investigation Facilities.
