About Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited Careers

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited (TMB) was founded on 11th May 1921 as Nadar Bank but changed its name to Tamilnad Mercantile Bank in November 1962. Its headquarters are located at Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The bank has been expanding its footprint all over India.

The idea to establish a bank for the Nadar business community was first proposed at the annual meeting of the Nadar Mahajana Sangam held at Tuticorin in 1920. AMM Sinnamani Nafar also took the initiative to identify other founding members for TMB. 

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank was the first private sector bank in India to introduce computerization for branch-level operations. The Bank has implemented a bideo conferencing facility to connect the Head Office with various Departments and Regional officers. TMB is a member of the National Financial Switch for its ATM operations.
